Day 108

Ok, remember how I wasn’t big on celebrating day 100, when we moved into triple digits? Now I am ready to celebrate. We made it to day 108!

Why is that a bigger deal than day 100? Well, it’s 8 days past a milestone that nearly everyone celebrates for one reason or another. The number 100 is a big one, whether in days, hours, or years. You didn’t let that number make you feel weary or tired of the process. You’re still here! I am so excited! Congratulations! Great job!

Gold stars! 🌠🌟💫⭐✨🤩

I also want to impart a message that is coming to mind. I am watching an interview between two of my Teachers in the Modern Mystery School. Ipsissima Divina Dr. Theresa Bullard-Whyke, PhD (Physics) and Founder of the Modern Mystery School Founder Gudni Gudnason can be found here on Quantum Minds TV, discussing the link between modern day Physics and Ancient Lineage Universal Hermetic Kabbalah, as well as the huge gaps between them.

The message that I have to share may or may not be found in that video, but it is one that I associate with both of my Teachers.

“Even if your greatest expression of believing in yourself turns out to lead you to failure at first, don’t give up on yourself. Just try again.”

What does that mean exactly?

It means this:

Let’s say that you have been in a state where you are full of self-doubt, and suddenly you find yourself inspired to believe that you have the capacity to reach great heights of success. So you stand on the proverbial edge of a proverbial building, and you decide today is the day that you are going to sprout proverbial wings, and in real life you decide today is the day to quit your job because you hate it so much and it’s killing you, and you declare to the Universe “I am going to make my own way!” and then you hypothetically jump off the edge of that proverbial skyscraper. Then, instead of growing wings, you find yourself flailing and flapping your arms frantically, until falling flat on your face. Maybe your jacket acts as a flimsy parachute. Fortunately, if this leap of faith doesn’t actually kill you (which it probably won’t, and it definitely didn’t if you are reading this article), then you can imagine you landed on something soft and pillowy, even if in real life it looks more like driving Lyft and Uber in order to make rent for a few months before landing a job that you couldn’t even negotiate a salary for because you didn’t have a leg to stand on.

Don’t let that experience make you believe that you should never develop confidence in yourself. Let it serve as information, as proof that although humans can’t sprout wings, we can recover quite nicely. Sometimes, risks are worth taking. Sometimes it can feel like jumping off that building is the only way out. Maybe the building is actually on fire, but you’re the only one who was able to see the smoke. That doesn’t explain why you ran up instead of down, but hey, at least you have an exit path ahead of you.

Don’t let past “failures” justify your fears. Learn from them. Assess what went well along with what didn’t. Give yourself credit for trying at all, and even more credit for standing up after you fell.

Ask yourself how you can adjust your approach next time. If you do “fail” again then you can add some more data to your assessment. One way you can figure out what works is by identifying that which doesn’t. Don’t punish yourself for trying. Never do that. Just keep believing that you are worth believing in, even when it’s hard to see that in you. And find people – like me! – who will help you remember when it is challenging.

Today’s journaling prompt:

If you believed in yourself 110%, what would you do without hesitation? If you believed it was possible to make any of your dreams come true, what would you aim for and how would you do it?

I will write a Bonus Content! post to touch on the dichotomies I posed the other day because I do feel like exploring those tonight as well 🙂
