Day 105

Today’s journaling prompt around purpose might seem a little more grounded to you.

I acknowledge how difficult it can be to dream outside the box, especially if you’re in survival mode.

All of us need an income, money coming in in order to pay our bills. It is kind of hard to dream when we are drowning in debt, unable to make rent, or living off of cup noodles and a diet that still leaves us malnourished.

So today, we’ll focus on something a little more practical.

What kind of job would you like to do while you are working your way to success?

Does it have to be related to your life’s purpose? Not necessarily.

I do not know why this is such a hard topic to ponder. Is it a lack of awareness of your options? Or a lack of belief in yourself?

When we talk about dreams, it’s one thing. We don’t have to become worthy of our life’s purpose, or at least we don’t think about that. But a job, someone else’s approval of our skills and abilities, is enough to make anyone feel not good enough.

So today’s journaling prompt, whether you’re having a hard time thinking about a “job” or not, is to identify the doubts you have about yourself and your ability to succeed day-to-day.

What doubts do you have about yourself and your worth in the job market today? Where are you willing to settle for less than you deserve just to make a living?

If none of these prompts resonate with you today, feel free to skip them or think of another area where you feel inadequate. Write down your negative thoughts, doubts, and even abusive ideas that you direct towards youself. Get them out of your head and into your journal.
