Phases of Impact for any action you take in life

Here is a graphic representation of the three stages within which we should consider our life’s purpose.
Phase 1: The Inner World, that which occurs within you. This could also be called “Intrapersonal”. Questions to consider in this stage:
- How does your self talk help you navigate success?
- How does your inner narative change/improve?
- How do your thoughts become more positive, uplifting, and focused on that which is good in your life?
- What does it feel like when you succeed and/or are in the flow of work that aligns with success?
Phase 2: The Outer World – Personal, that which directly impacts you. This might impact other people directly, if, for example, your success in this phase includes buying a house where your whole (immediate) family can live. Being successful enough to buy other people houses or gifts of any kind belongs in Phase 3. Questions to consider in this stage:
- How much money do I earn in a year/my lifetime as a result of living my life’s purpose?
- What is my quality of life? Do I own homes, cars, technology, toys that I enjoy playing with (big or small)?
- What does my day-to-day routine look like?
- What perks do I enjoy as a result of living out this mission in life?
Phase 3: The Outer World – Interpersonal, that which directly impacts other people and the world at large. Questions to consider in this stage:
- What does my purpose in life do for the world? How can I make the world a better place?
- Do I have an impact locally, in my own neighborhood, town, city, state, country, and/or the world at large?
- Who is impacted by the positive aspects of my life’s calling?
- Are there any negative effects to the world at large? (For example, do you feel called to create a new technology that could generate toxic run-off which, if not contained correctly might poison unsuspecting people?)
These are just some examples of what to consider in each of the different phases of impact. It is important to let your imagination run wild while filling out the prompts for these three days. The greater your imagination, the better your journey through life 🙂
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” ~Albert Einstein
“I don’t care that they stole my idea…I care that they don’t have any of their own.” ~Nikola Tesla
