Today we are going to finish up our origin story portion of this 30 day challenge. Tomorrow is our last day of this section, Day 92.

I want you to come up with a backstory for your parents in this world. What was childhood like for your parents? What were your grandparents like to them growing up? You can do this in a few sentences if you feel like it, but a few paragraphs will be more helpful.

Maybe you don’t write this by hand today. If you have been keeping your journal manually – by writing everything down – maybe today you use the computer instead. Type it out. It might make it easier to get everything out that wants to come through you today. Faster too, if you know how to type.

I want you to write a backstory for your parents from the time they were children all the way up to when you left home to become a hero.

I also want you to include if you were able to keep in touch with them while you were away on your mission or not. If you did, how? What kind of contact did you keep with them? How did you communicate? Was it positive or negative?

• What was childhood like for your parents?
• What were times like when they were kids?
• What was it like for them to grow up?
• What were the main values that ruled where they lived? What were the things they were judged for – positively and punitively?
• How did that translate into how they raised you?

Again, just like yesterday you can choose to do this authentically or you can create a fantasy version. Whatever wants to express itself through you, let it. No one has to know.
