Alright day 35! You know the drill today. Depending on what you chose yesterday, you’re going to do the other one today.
It’s also worth reminding you that you can always go back. If you feel like there’s something you want to add to what you’ve already written, don’t block your creative flow by ignoring that desire. Listen to the different aspects of yourself that are seeking to express themselves through this process.
You didn’t choose to do this alone.
So go ahead and pick which one you’re going to do. Here are the options again for you to review.
Option1:
- Get clear on what you think the answer will be to the question that you are asking.
- Write down all the possible reasons why you do/think/feel/experience this thing.
- Explain to yourself why it bothers you that you don’t understand it fully.
Option 2:
- Get clear on what life would be like if you did not have/do this thing.
- Answer the questions: “how would life be better if I didn’t [insert subject of your journaling focus]?” “What would I do instead?”
- Ask and answer “what function does this serve in my life today? does it have a purpose, or is it random?”
Whichever one you choose to focus on today, let the answers speak through you. It may actually be easier to write if you stop thinking about what to write. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, relax. Don’t get discouraged if the answers don’t come right away.
Write down your questions. Go for a walk. Take a shower, a bath. Take a nap. Work for a while, and then at the end of the day try again. Hold yourself to the possibility that you /CAN/ actually answer these questions. Let whatever answer comes to mind be the one you put down.
You got this! I believe in you.
See you tomorrow for a free write day.
