Day 5 – Bonus Content!

Day 5 of #nocomplaints30

Here is what I have learned so far.

The more I complain, the more I stop myself from doing what I want to do. Therefore, the more I stop myself from complaining, the more I stop myself from stopping myself.

Doing this challenge is allowing me to free up energy I use to hold myself down, or back, or anywhere except forward. I want to move forward in life. I want to move up. I want to enjoy where I am. I want to be grateful and excited for where I am going.

Complaining is one way that I actively use my energy – the most precious resource we have – to stop myself from living the best life imaginable.

I know. We all think we have to do huge things in order to make our lives better. Like the chasm between who we are and who we want to be can only be crossed by one giant leap. Trust me. I love thinking like that.

Turns out…we also have the ability to build a bridge. One step at a time.

In order to build that bridge, we have to stop ourselves from stopping ourselves from building it. You read that right. I have to stop myself from telling myself I can’t build the bridge. Because when I tell myself I can’t build the bridge, do I then build the bridge? No. I don’t even try.

That is what we do by complaining. Between where you are now and everywhere you want to be, the first thing standing in your way is that you complain about something being in the way.

Acknowledging it gives you the opportunity to move it. To change it. Complaining gives you a reason to let it sit. And fester.

So you want to change something in your life? stop complaining about it. Sounds simple. It is simple. And it’s also a challenge.

If you need a little support, I am happy to help. Follow along with my journey. I am sharing tools to help you get clear on what complaints are in your way and how to tell them to shush.

Love you! 😘
