Day 31 Journaling Prompt
What do you want the next 30 days to do for you?
First, before we start writing, there is something I want you to do.
I want you to dispose of the journal that you were using for the past 30/31 days. Any scraps of paper where your thoughts might have scattered onto, dispose of them too. Together.
We are starting anew.
The last 31 days have been about clearing sludge out of your brain. Like giving your mind a colonoscopy. First you have to clear away the garbage so then you can get a closer look at what’s inside. Isn’t that a lovely analogy?
So before we dive into what you want the next 30 day cycle to do for you, I want you to burn your journal. Or throw it away. Or soak it in water until it’s destroyed, and then throw it away. Do something that makes it unreadable without adding anything else to the pages (no stickers, no crossing things out). Tear out the pages one by one and rip them to shreds with your bare hands if you want to.
Whatever you feel will destroy your journal, do it. Dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way (aka maybe don’t bury this one).
And then, get another one that you are ready to hold onto for a while. We can’t keep doing that every 30 days. It will get expensive and boring after a while.
You can if you want to. That is totally up to you!
But once you have found your new journal and the old one is laid to rest, ask yourself the question:
“What do I want the next 30 days to teach me about me?” “What do I want to learn about myself over the next 30 days?”

If you need some examples, I’ll share a few.
