For something that only happens once in a lifetime, I thought I wanted to go out and celebrate America’s 250th Birthday in Philadelphia. We made it to a quarter of a Millenia. What a historic time and event!
Now I am wondering, with the heat and the crowds, maybe it is best if I use America’s turning point as a turning point for myself.
Celebrations to me have always meant big parties, lots of people, music, food, dancing, fun.
Maybe today, on the 250th anniversary of the birth of this great nation, instead of viewing celebration in only one light, I will choose to expand my awareness. Let go of my old party girl ways, and embrace my desire to lead the room rather than follow.
How are you celebrating today?
