Day 102

What is the impact you want your purpose in life to have on the world at large?

Every life path you choose is going to influence the world on a small and large scale.

The butterfly effect applies to the life you are living today, and the one you will live until your last day on Earth.

So whether we’re talking ripples or clear effects, what do you want to end result to be?

We can examine the benefits you want to gain from your life purpose, like your income and the lifestyle you want to live in return for doing what you came here to do. But that’s another day’s post. Unless you want to switch them and work on that today.

So I’ll give you the choice. Today are you going to journal:

  • What kind of impact do you want your life to have on the world around you? This includes your legacy and what you’re known for after you’re gone. Or,
  • What kind of impact living your purpose has on you. What kind of benefits you receive, income, what your life looks like as a result of being aligned with this higher path.

You want to take stock of both things. We can call them within (the change that occurs in your life) and without (the change that occurs “out there” beyond your personal container).

There is a third thing to consider here as well. What kind of benefits do you receive internally from living in alignment with your higher purpose?

One is income, lifestyle, what your daily routine looks like. The other is how fulfilling it feels to live this way. What kind of wisdom you amass, or who you become within as a result of this path.

Which one are you choosing to write about today?

I guess we already have our writing prompts ready for the next two days now too.

And if this seems like a repeat of a journaling prompt we’ve done already in this series, then consider it an invitation to revisit the question. Revisit your responses. Go deeper. Reconsider or lock in (aka double down on) what you said. Consider it a retrograde moment.
