Day 75

I am arguing with ChatGPT right now over image creation limits, so you won’t be seeing the third iteration of my Super Hero Self today.

How is yours coming along?

Any insights yet into where you desire to be more free in your real life?

What kind of things did you write for how your Super Hero Self likes to relax? What does your Plain Clothes Persona #1, 2, and/or 3 like to do to have fun before getting called into fighting crime?

Isn’t it weird to think that you can’t really commit to doing anything for too long, because you never know when an issue might occur and you have to snap into *Super Hero Mode*?

Like, what if you want to sit and watch a movie in the theater, without disturbing the other guests? Or spend a day at my favorite place in the world, SoJo Spa, where all you do is get massages, go to the sauna, sit in hot tubs and cold pools, get body scrubs, relax, maybe fall asleep on one of the beds. Can you even carve out enough time to do that, or is that when the villains will go batshit bonkers on you?

So here are our two questions for the day:

  1. How does the city you work in reach you when they need you to take care of a crime?
  2. How do you prioritize which ones to attend to and which ones to let other people – like Law Enforcement Officers – deal with without you?

These are important questions for every Super Hero to ask themselves, at least one time. But you’re constantly assessing, analyzing, and upgrading your ability to manage your time when you are your own manager.

It’s 2026. In 10 years, Smart Phones could be outdated like beepers. Are you in the mindset of inventing a new way that people can reach you? One that doesn’t send your anxiety through the roof everytime it goes off?

Yes, even Super Heroes can have anxiety. Especially once they encounter a situation they were ill-equipped to handle and they get their butt kicked, badly.

They can feel afraid to go back and fight crime again. That’s why relaxation and fun are necessary! To remind yourself that you are on the right path, and that everyone encounters a failure every now and then.

Any famous star athlete has lost way more times than they’ve won.

So ask yourself those two questions – when do you jump in vs when do you leave well enough alone and let someone else handle it, and how does the city reach you when they need you?

It’s okay to say “I am not available right now, you guys got this, okay?” Boundaries are important, especially for the person who can do everything. You figured it out. So can they, if they have to.
